Seven days in the west, for a party landing at Paro. I rewrite the days after your note. This is a shape, not a fixed departure.
The days
Day 1. Paro to Thimphu
You land at Paro. The drive follows the river to Thimphu. The first night is a five-star valley lodge in Motithang.
Day 2. Thimphu
The morning can be the National Memorial Chorten. The Textile Museum, if you want the hour and it is open. Late light on Tashichho Dzong, from the river road.
Day 3. Dochula and Punakha
The road crosses Dochula Pass. If the sky is clear, we stop among the 108 chortens. Then Punakha. This is a driving day. The night is a restored farmhouse lodge.
Day 4. Punakha
Punakha Dzong in the morning, before the valley fills. After that, the day is yours. The rice fields, or the lodge. Nothing else is scheduled.
Day 5. Toward Paro
We break the return in Thimphu, so you are not in the car until dark. Lunch, then the road west to Paro. The night is a five-star lodge in the valley.
Day 6. The Paro valley
Taktsang, the Tiger’s Nest, if you want the climb and the trail is open. If not, Kyichu Lhakhang and a slow walk in the valley.
Day 7. Departure
A private transfer to Paro airport, timed to your flight.
The government fee
I do not publish a price for this route. The proposal carries the figure for your party. For US dollar paying visitors, until 31 August 2027, the Sustainable Development Fee is USD 100 per person per night. Children who have not yet turned six are exempt. Children aged 6 who have not yet turned 12 receive a 50 percent concession.
